As I sit here with my coffee this morning, baby monitor on in the background and reflect on 2019, the words that come to mind are: whirlwind, grateful, genuinely happy, and blessed.
2019, I can honestly say, has been my favorite year to date. 2019 we welcomed our sweet daughter into this world, and while the first 6 months haven’t been all rainbows and butterflies, they’ve been absolutely amazing. This is the year we became parents, grew an exceptional amount in our marriage, and got to experience a love we never knew existed. I am definitely sad to see this year come to an end. Since having Reagan it seems like time passes so quickly. I remember hearing all the time about how fast time goes once you have a baby, but never thought much about it. But turns out, they were right. It seems like yesterday I was in labor, heading to the hospital and meeting Rea for the very first time. It seems like yesterday we were bringing that snuggly little newborn home to meet Luna for the first time. And now here we are, a little over 6 months later and I can’t figure out how it all went so fast. The past 6 months of watching her grow and learn new things has been so fulfilling, and where I am sad to see 2019 end, I know 2020 will be filled with so many new “firsts” and a ton of new memories will be made.
I know most people set resolutions for the new year, I always did too. The only problem was I never stuck with them. So this year instead of putting the term “resolution” on it, I’m just focusing on becoming a better version of myself. I am going to focus on giving myself grace and compassion. I am focusing on becoming a better, more patient mother, wife, friend, daughter. I am focusing on getting my nutrition back on track and making myself a priority again (something that I never realized was so difficult until I became a mom). I am focusing on personal growth. To grow into the woman I was always meant to be.
We have so many big plans for 2020 for ourselves and for this blog. We’re so excited to see where it all takes us. We truly appreciate all of our friends, family and followers who have supported us on this journey. We may have taken a break from it in the past, but this year we are determined to be consistent to put out valuable, relatable content to all of our readers.
Tell us, what do you have planned for 2020?
See ya in 2020!
